The Truth: How Fashion Became My Greatest Passion.

A Little Bit About Myself

How do I write about myself for the public to see? I have no trouble writing in my journals. In fact, the last time I counted I believe I have at least 10 to 15 of them. They're private...at least while I'm still here. Someone once said "you think long, you think wrong." So I'll just start....

November 18, 2017 I launched my personal styling business Felicia's Closet.

After much procrastination, tight schedules, major life transitions, and pure anxiety and doubt, I dove right in. My launch party coincided with the celebration of my 61st birthday complete with champagne and cake! The evening was delightful and fun with friends trying on and modeling items from Article Consignment Boutique. Attendees even caught a glimpse of my personal closet for inspiration! The excitement grew as there were purchases made right from my closet!

It's Never Too Late...

You might say I'm a late bloomer ( which is one of the catalysts for my procrastination), but I've learned and accepted the fact over the years that it's never too late to do what you love. Cliche...yes, true...absolutely! I've always loved fashion. As a teen I consistently created scrap books out of fashion magazine spreads envisioning myself strutting down a runway in one of those carefully constructed outfits. My grandmother, a fashionista herself in the 50's 60's and 70's summoned me to model lingerie in her social club's fashion show in San Francisco. My mothers attempt to foray me into the fashion scene was to sign me up at Sears and Roebuck Charm School. If you're under 40 and reading this, look it up!

Moving on to the 80's I relocated to New York and rediscovered my passion for fashion, hired first as a Macy's sales associate followed by employment as a corporate buyer for a major retail chain. I also had a brief stint in the designer shoe department at Bloomingdales. My last full time gig before settling down to marr

y and raise a family, was manager for an upscale swim and cruise wear boutique.

Back in California, and after more than 30 years of holding down a busy and complex family life, the fashion and style bug bit again. Wardrobe stylist for Fashion Week in Sacramento ( yes, there's fashion in Sacram

ento!), Los Angeles, the Virgin Islands, and New York grace my resume. I am also the resident stylist for a local designer consignment boutique.

My Goal As A Stylist

As a personal stylist, my desire to help women look and feel their ultimate best from the inside out no matter what their size, shape or budget along with my excitement for style, fuels my passion. Whether you're looking to revamp your current closet situation, add sizzle to your wardrobe, or need me to help you select that perfect outfit for a birthday, wedding, or a special night out, Felicia's Closet is the go-to styling service for your needs. I will even help you plan a fun shopping event with your best buddies complete with champagne and delectable appetizers!

I want my website to be a place where you can come to not only book appointments, but also to get free fashion and style advice on a consistent basis.

If you are interested in booking a consultation with me please be sure to email me at felicia@feliciascloset,com.

xoxo,
